Hi, I've been running into a bit of a snag with LDN and was wondering if anyone had any insights.
I've been taking LDN, under the supervision of a doctor, for a few months now. I started on 1.5 mg then moved to 3.0 mg. About a week and a half into the 3.0 mg dosage, I noticed my anxiety levels going up. I went back down to the 1.5 dose and it seemed to get better. Then I thought I might have overreacted, so I decided to go back to the 3.0 dose. A week and a half later, the anxiety symptoms are back.
Now, I'm currently in counseling for anxiety issues anyway (with the economy, unstable job situation, etc). But I wonder if taking LDN might be exacerbating my anxiety issues.
I hope not, b/c LDN has helped both my Ulcerative Colitis and back issues. Do you know of any studies that might suggest a link between LDN and anxiety? I know that full dose Naltrexone has caused anxiety issues in certain patients, but neither I nor my doctor have heard of LDN causing these symptoms.
If so, is there a way to continue the LDN regimine but change something about the dosage? I get my pills from Skip's Pharmacy, so I don't think it's problem in the compounding process.
I would appreciate any information anyone on this board may have about this. Many thanks.
